Career Experience

Tess Beagley is an Interior Decorator and Designer - the Founder + Creative Director of Minted Interiors - a boutique interior styling studio, specialising in contemporary Australian interiors.

Before becoming an Interior Decorator, Tess completed a Mass Communications Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Public Relations and Journalism. Over the next ten years her career journey saw her working in PR firms in Perth and London, in senior corporate Public Relations roles. During maternity leave in 2012, Tess combined the skills she’d mastered throughout her PR career with her passion for interiors and her natural take on style, to develop the Minted Interiors business concept, finally launching the brand in 2014. Now mum to three – Lotte, Jemima + Wilbur and wife to Yves, Tess shares honest moments of her family life and her interiors work daily, via beautiful imagery and content on the Minted Interiors social media feeds, attracting 35,ooo+ interior and lifestyle savvy followers from around the world.

Tess' work has been recognised in many national design publications including Real Living, Home Beautiful, The Interiors Addict, The West Australian, Homes+ and her expertise covers a multitude of styles and trends. Tess’ online voice is natural & down to earth, whilst her imagery and lifestyle reflect an aspirational coastal style. This unique mix of aspiration and approachability has become bankable property, with national brands such as ArtHide, Amigos De Hoy, Bedtonic and Naturally Cane Furniture engaging Tess to work on projects with complete creative freedom. Most recently the City of Greater Geraldton engaged Tess to be a social media influencer, applying her down to earth voice and lifestyle imagery to promote their summer holiday program.

It was also this driven yet down-to-earth approach that caught the attention of the ‘Inspiring Rare Birds’ founder Jo Burston, who selected Tess as a recipient for the national ‘Inspiring Rare Birds’ business scholarship mentor program for 2018, connecting her with a mentoring community of other highly successful female entrepreneurs Australia wide.

Tess is regularly commissioned to travel throughout regional WA, as well as to Melbourne and Sydney for interior and product styling projects, as well as social media influencing work. Thanks to Minted Interiors e-Design service, Tess also consults for clients based all over Australia. Known for her signature luxe yet achievable Australian Coastal aesthetic, Tess infuses her personal style through her namesake brand where she acts as both Creative Director & Head Designer. Tess actively sits across the brand’s marketing & communications, something she notes as important to creating her vision - from interior design concepts, to social media messaging.

Tess is outspoken on the statement that it’s a luxury to be able to work in this industry (interiors) which is a 'for want' industry. As such, Tess is invested in giving back across multiple platforms. She is active in the mentoring of young women, in both business and lifestyle and talks candidly about the challenges of juggling motherhood with a career. This honest and approachable voice has created a social media community of like minded women, who often gather on Minted Interiors social media posts to connect with and talk to other women facing similar challenges.
